Magic? Teleportation? Most actual analysts as opposed to bloggers believe current food issues are more related to high fuel costs and political issues than lack of arable land. And current land could be much more efficiently used if we could get fertilizer, seeds, and know-how to poorer countries. And all that takes fuel. I'm pretty tired of this "ethanol is food directly out of someone's mouth" talk. It's like saying "How dare someone who only has $10 for food waste money on a bus pass!' they should walk to the convenience store for $5 beef jerky instead of taking the bus to the supermarket? And yes, locally grown food, organic farming, etc, etc... The simple fact is, things aren't as simple as "food or fuel" and we shouldn't be flogging people for trying to innovate in areas that don't meet your personal holy grail of energy production (oh, and solar and wind aren't perfect. Fusion is nice, but let's actually see it). How about we keep trying things and see what works?

That said, this thing is probably not going to work.
