Green House USB table fan totally blows
Sorry folks, it looks like Green House's USB table fan is strictly Japanese for the time being, so you'll have to settle for something a little smaller. Not that we're terribly confident a 500mA current is really all that capable of moving a lot of air in a table fan anyway.

Nope, good thing this is a blog and not a news site, ey? ;)

Ryan has been quite busy with posts today. Perhaps he just couldn't stop himself. :p

Cause of the keyword "Green"
Green tech is so hot right now!
Chuckles McGee @ May 12th 2008 11:24AM
@Paul
Yeah, but I still find it a little ironic that something from Green House is supposed to make us feel cooler.

"Green House USB table fan totally blows"
I was just decimated by a roflcopter travelling at mach 5.
On another note, who the hell chose the colour scheme for this thing? They really thought those colours go well together? I have news for them.
They do not.
w00t @ May 12th 2008 7:38AM
Thing is since it's only got a measly 2.5w to work with it's probably the only table fan that doesn't blow :)
tom @ May 12th 2008 8:38AM
What is the real size of this thing, I would be laughing if this fan is a palm size
Bernhard @ May 12th 2008 8:20AM
You can always get plenty of external self-powered hubs and attach another 600 fans.

Hold on to your wig!

Context people, context. 500mA current across a USB cable can't really move much, but 500mA current @ 120V DC will move a shitload of air, kthx.
stefan @ May 12th 2008 9:10AM
???
kev @ May 12th 2008 9:12AM
(USB @reference 5V)
stefan @ May 12th 2008 9:20AM
But what do you mean to say? That if one could replace the motor in this thing with a 60W 120V Motor one could move more air?
That's like saying that if I could replace the motor with 500W Halogen bulp I could light my driveway. Duh.
This is a USB-Powered Gizmo... what do you mean with context? Why 120V? What is going on in your head? We might never know.
Oinquer @ May 12th 2008 9:23AM
that right...
5*0.5 = 2.5W
120*0.5 = 60W
60W is what my computer (just the tower) consumes at the moment...so its a little bit to much...maybe...
Mile @ May 12th 2008 1:09PM
Seriously though, to reach your driveway, the USB cable would need to be extended 2 or 3 times so chances are your halogen idea wouldn't work.
Stefanistan @ May 12th 2008 1:16PM
Stefan, you, sir are an idiot.
