Here's my wish list: Fix the damn memory leaks. Safari is just now using over 300M of real memory. But I have seen it at 1GB (real!), Mail.app at 700MB, SystemUIServer at 300MB, and just now I see kernel_task at an unhealthy-looking 250MB.

OS X is super stable (*) but tons of apps and even system tasks seem to have memory leaks.

(*) At least after I used FontBook to validate all my fonts and kick all those out that had errors. As more apps request RAM you'll see Safari use less than a GB. Why have empty RAM that you aren't using when an App can use the most it can? as stated, Vista and OS X are both actively using much more of your ram than XP. Vista does it a bit differently, it caches startup files for programs so they are faster to load up. Yeah, I remember being shot down by an Apple rep when OSX first came out... I asked "why is the app using 100% of the processor and so much memory" his reply was... "why not?"
