I think you would have to see it in person but i cant see 27 inches of 1920x1200 loving being so bad youd rather go back to a 24 inch than use it.

In particular the antracite brushed finish of the 3008 is striking at first sight.

I have seen more REAL pictures of the new 2709W, the one you publish is VERY retouched.The new monitor appareance and feeling is a big dissapointment, the price is nearly the same but all the money seems now to be directed to more connectivity. (by the way the S-VHS connector is gone.)

The panel is enclosed in a cheap, black boxy plastic frame, with a flimsy looking power button in the corner and an absurd hidden luminiscent row of menu buttons in the right,

If they want a clear design why can´t they use a row of buttons behind the frame ?.

Of course the luxury glass base is also absent, bye bye quality !!!

The S-PVA Samsung panel is still there but my advice is: if you can still buy an original 2707 go and buy it now !!!!

As others said, pair this thing with an ATI HD 4870 and get some decent gaming without having to break the bank on a $600+ card to run it.
