I don't want apple to keep trying and I don't want an iphone...]]></description><dc:creator><![CDATA[Cal]]></dc:creator><pubDate>Jun 9th 2008 7:38PM</pubDate></item><item><title><![CDATA[Comments on ]]></title><link>http://www.engadget.com/2008/06/09/so-are-you-gonna-get-an-iphone-3g/</link><guid isPermaLink="true">http://www.engadget.com/2008/06/09/so-are-you-gonna-get-an-iphone-3g/</guid><description><![CDATA[I'm really on the edge with this one, in one hand the 3G, GPS and the ridiculously low price tag are very interesting, but in the other hand, I feel disappointed for not seeing much of a difference, it's like they changed one chip inside the iPhone, and made the battery a little bigger, which explains the new 3 techs with higher battery life.<br><br>I don't want to sound so negative, but I really feel that the iPhone at this stage is -again, using Apple's marketing techniques instead of really upgrading the iPhone; Same camera, same typing methods with no copy or paste, no MMS, no front camera, no Video, No flash support inside Safari, no my own ring tunes, and the whole same negatives, with the same value which they hid nicely (this time) inside telecom contracts, apps store, and music purchases.<br><br>I said it before, I will chose between the iPhone, Diamond and X1; other than the high price tags of the last two, I can not see any killing feature the iPhone has over them. All other services in my area suck major ass. The contract means nothing to me.<br><br>But, I'm going to stick with my old iPhone. The 3G data costs $10/mo more and I don't see the need for myself. In my experience with my 3G USB modem, 3G is often not that much faster than EDGE. By the time they come out with the third gen iPhone, I will probably be ready to upgrade. Or perhaps sooner, but not today.<br><br>Nice new iPhone but no thanks... for today.
