It is true one single case can hold multiple platforms.  Same case different guts. Yes they seem too lazy to clarify the actual model number on the casing. However you can find the actual model number in fine print on the service tag.<br>I have DV9027 but the casing reads DV9000. No big deal really.  So, is it really necessary to say that there are 12 new models when they look and perform relatively the same. I do not think so.<br> I think the lower end Compaq has a better design and the new HP versions look like the older model  compaq. Fortune 500 companies...that would be 500 of them.<br>People... over 7 billion in the world.<br>Oh, I see.  The only thing in life that matters is what businesses think. I have an Inspiron 6000 that I am happy with but is getting a little slow for my needs.  I was holding off on getting a new laptop because everything decent on the market (except for Sony) has those stupid front audio plugs.  I often plug my  laptop into external speakers and do not want a friggin plug hanging out the front while I am typing.  Its ugly too.  And why do the VGA / S-Vid plugs need to be on the side?  I hate having to take up desk real estate with plugs running every which way out of a laptop. Apple does not make many products so it is big news when something from them is released.<br><br>How many computer models does HP make, can you name them all?<br>Apple makes an iphone.  One...uno....just one.  Ok, 2 if you count the 2 memory sizes.  How many windows mobile devices are there or models of the blackberry, or nokia phone models are there?
