The cover should be matte to help hide scratches. Battery life is important and I think 400mhz is good enough for web browsing and email. You could get one as low as $1000 especially this time of the year. Our unit, like his, did not come with Wi-Fi and worse still there's no way to update the software at all. There's no command prompt in the linux, no package manager for updates, no way at all to update.
