This is exactly the kind of monitor I've been looking for. There are even smaller 1920x1200 panels available for laptops, and I've been wanting something like this for a long time.

My 28" Viewsonic was a fat-ass mistake (fat-ass pixels). I like my pixels tiny for the crispiest text. Also, gaming on a desktop 28" monitor is crappy -- too much head turning (though it would probably be fine at about 1.5 to 2 meters were I not nearsighted).

Otherwise I think you would agree the US and Europe are on pretty much the same level in terms of living standards. But I should point out that the top rated countries have been mostly European (Iceland, Norway) and then Canada followed by the US.

The Euro being so strong has offset some price rises and the higher value means higher profits for the sellers. And we have always had higher fuel prices than the US so our consumers and their cars are better adjusted to the current price on oil. All of this has an impact on the purchasing power of the average consumer.
