Same look from the DV series of the past. The gloss exterior looks good and is pretty durable than the cheap plastic most laptops utilize. The only thing better is using magnesium or some sort of metal components.

HP can make some good looking laptops; I don't understand why people think the MacBook actually looks stellar. Granted, the matte finished black book looks sharp. But white? Ugh, it's so tacky - the computer looks like an appliance. Not to mention I love to still see users have their laptop palm rests already deteriorating with little yellow/dark spots. Lovely.

Clak, you're an idiot. You're used to Mac because that's what you have to use for your precious film school. What about the 1,000s that must utilize business/enterprise software that must run on a Windows environment? Until I see Apple tackling business type software and not the consumer market - I don't see MS going anywhere any time soon. Regardless of the problems they've had with Windows Vista. Windows 7 will be here within a year and half to two years.

Remember OS 8 and 9; yeah, that's what I thought.

Also, try Ubuntu Linux its a very good OS - the software is a little archaic in some respects.... but still very fast and stable.

Joshua.JWilliams
