Cizmo's CX1730M gaming laptop packs a wallop
Okay, so maybe Cizmo's CX1730M is based heavily on Clevo's M570TU, but it's still one beast of a machine. This 17-inch monster packs a 2.26GHz Core 2 Duo processor, 2GB of DDR3 RAM, a 160GB SATA hard drive, WSXGA+ panel, a 2-megapixel webcam, dual-layer DVD burner (or optional Blu-ray drive), NVIDIA's 512MB GeForce 8800M GTX and a plethora of ports. Amazingly, this one tips the scales at "just" 8.7-pounds, which actually isn't half bad for a unit this potent. Additionally, it looks as if you can order this puppy in a variety of hues -- including the above pictured camouflage -- right now starting at €1,427 ($2,249).

Damn this is gonna get lost in my camo room, with camo bed sheets and camo motif on all objects, then how am i gonna play on my gaming laptop?
bohsocks @ Jun 29th 2008 12:08PM
Will the camo also mask the shame that I'll have for owning a camo laptop?
weg @ Jun 29th 2008 6:40PM
Well, the camouflaged design makes sense, who'd like to be seen with such an ugly laptop?
Teo @ Jun 29th 2008 11:14AM
Neat, but when are you guys gonna post a picture of it?
spook4thecia @ Jun 29th 2008 3:08PM
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Reader @ Jun 29th 2008 11:16PM

Kozzi @ Jul 3rd 2008 12:51AM
Now you can even game during war.
DefPo3t @ Jun 29th 2008 11:22AM
but does it come in the winter/aqua/desert camo colors is what is important
DefPo3t @ Jun 29th 2008 11:26AM
€ 249.00 for any color/design you want isnt half bad at least they give you an option
JohnTitor @ Jun 29th 2008 7:25PM
it should have been desert default
whoever picked the jungle colors forgot we are stuck in Iraq instead of Vietnam
JohnTitor @ Jun 29th 2008 7:26PM
by the way everyone, its yet another Clevo
Shawn @ Jun 29th 2008 11:22AM
laptop gaming is my fav, but you don't need to spend this much. A gateway 6860fx comes with a nice 8800M GTS, all that ya have to do is upgrade the processor. Threw in a T9300 (200usd) in mine for a total of 1500usd and it runs everything on high, including that pig Crysis.
awesome skin though
Michael Goldberg @ Jun 29th 2008 11:30AM
No one will see me using this in the weeds
Michael Goldberg @ Jun 29th 2008 11:31AM

DefPo3t @ Jun 29th 2008 1:27PM

phanbouy @ Jun 29th 2008 1:42PM
you can put your weed in there!
Rick @ Jun 29th 2008 11:47AM
This a gaming laptop or a gamey laptop?
Sy @ Jun 29th 2008 12:01PM
Why the camouflage. The Delta Force do serious gaming while doing reconnaissance?
KingPin @ Jun 29th 2008 12:08PM
o.O this is just plain pricey..... gateway dell do the same for much less....
David @ Jun 29th 2008 1:14PM
gateway does not, it uses a less powerful card
dell does similar, for similar price, but its a couple of lbs heavier.
At any rate gateway doesn't sell in europe, so we don't have that option.
Steffen Jobbs @ Jun 29th 2008 12:07PM
So fugly, it's painful to look at. At least it has some nice specs and the price ain't bad at all.
rocky_rules @ Jun 29th 2008 12:38PM
now soldiers in iraq can play in the combat zone.. :-)
phanbouy @ Jun 29th 2008 12:54PM
wtf?
waterboy99troop @ Jun 29th 2008 5:35PM
i'm assuming you mean canadian soldiers...
waterboy99troop @ Jun 29th 2008 5:36PM
...although i know they're not in iraq...
Mobius_1 @ Jun 29th 2008 12:49PM
So does the camo automatically make this laptop rugged and military and powerful and cool? Get a life
substance90 @ Jun 29th 2008 1:12PM
Simply ugly as hell!
Elijah Bailey @ Jun 29th 2008 1:27PM
Interesting.
I'm not much into laptop gaming but this seems a nice deal. As said earlier, a bit pricey but for the fact that it's available in more places makes it a bit lighter for the ones picking as their next system. Camo is only a gimmick, but having makes you one unique stylish and design-induced gamer (who, in many usually, would more be of the somewhat-geeky PC gaming community type).

Adam @ Jun 29th 2008 1:37PM
But can it hack a Gibson?
Bunson @ Jun 29th 2008 1:59PM
At least your somewhat original... now you need to work on the part about being funny.
(01) @ Jun 29th 2008 1:41PM
I feel like I'd want at least another GB of RAM in there; probably 2.
ethana2 @ Jun 30th 2008 3:22AM
Because we all know with consoles shipping 512 MB of RAM and less that memory is a real killer for gaming!
Pssh. Just ordered my new ubuntu dell, 1 GB of RAM-- I simply have no use for anything more. 2+ GB of RAM is ridiculous overkill.
Hellios @ Jun 29th 2008 1:38PM
I can't believe a ton of other gaming laptops don't come in camo as well.
nintendo fanboy hater @ Jun 29th 2008 2:09PM
i have to say it... dont flame me, for i am not clak. a macbook pro is the same price, has a faster processor and more hard drive space... i guess this is not a gaming laptop then
Sarig @ Jun 29th 2008 4:11PM
When they say gaming laptop, they mean you can use it when hunting game! Can't do that with macbooks, they're far too shiny. Yep, only logical explanation
David @ Jun 29th 2008 4:19PM
macbook pro 17" starts at £1799 in uk, thats $3600 or 2300 euros.
also macbook pro has older processers, so higher frequency may not mean better
+ yeah, the mac only packs an 8600m gt
Kizorblade @ Jun 29th 2008 6:06PM
PFFT. Stupid people... Macs are ideal for hunting! Especially the Macbook. You can use it as a mirror to blind that poor deer or gamer with a camo laptop then break his/her neck with your BARE HANDS.
H0rK @ Jun 29th 2008 4:46PM
i see from the pic that it CAN play crysis...
Joe Anstine @ Jun 29th 2008 5:43PM
cool, now I can take my laptop gaming experience while hunting
(that's in r.l. folks)
....
not
Blindhouse @ Jun 29th 2008 10:29PM
I'm waiting for the stealth model
Mike @ Jun 29th 2008 10:24PM
At least it isn't in ACU
Kris @ Jun 30th 2008 4:32AM
Imagine how annoyed the rich n00b will get when he realises that it doesn't actually make him more stealthy in Crysis.
