The 901 seems to have been replaced even before it arrived.  Anyhow, I bought a 900 and the screen is nice, everything works fine, but the keyboard is too small, unusable for my ham fists.  So, the 904 kinda looks right, though I'll probably wait for the 1000 to avoid that bevel. Asus has focused so much on marketing and brand-name recognition that they lost sight of what made the platform popular in the first place: value and functionality. They create the 7" Eee and people complain about the keyboard and screen size. They create new Eee's with larger screens and keyboards at a higher price, and people bitch yet again about the cost and the 'direction" of the company. The MSI wind does the same thing, except with a smaller battery (hence cheaper) and nobody says a word. Those micro laptops where also to have a micro price tag.  Now they are the same price and any other laptop out there.  For the same prices as the 1000 I can get a laptop that has a richer set of features.  I thought the whole point of the EEE laptop line was the low cost, small size and lowered specs.  Now it is just a bit smaller and lowered specs with a higher price. I can buy a full featured laptop for the price of a 1000, but I will still pay for the size especially since it is exactly what I need. It is still a better option than having a high-spec small laptop at $1400.<br><br>The problem is since the first EEE we assume that smaller laptops should cost much less. Yeah, they're expanding their EEE brand, but they also are giving end users a plethora of choices.
