While the Diamond Touch does offer you the flexibility of Windows Mobile to install custom apps on your device it suffers from the negative sides too. Although I must admit HTC has finally cleared up their act with the touchscreens, their TYTNII and others are terribly slow and unresponsive (and every customer I've sold one shares my opinion).

But in the end the iPhone is far more responsive in it's UI than the Diamond. When pressing an icon on the standbyscreen of the Diamond you have an animation to switch to that option, but instead of directly playing that animation there's a (2) second pause that makes it look like you didn't really push the icon at all and you have to do it again. Which makes you go 2 icons further instead of 1. And sadly enough there are still scrollbars which you have to tap 3 times in order to get them to scroll, or you can use the arrows at the top/bottom but that makes the point of scrollbars completely obsolete. I encourage HTC to just copy the iPhones flexible scrolling technique which would make their devices easier to use.

And they should have done a complete UI rework, not just the one of the standby screen. The rest has terrible small icons..

Anoldcarsnickname

Comments on

@Anoldcarsnickname, you have it right on the money.

I am surprised you didn't get low-ranked: anything semipositive about Apple brings out the low-ranking low-lifes on engadget.com. Firstly, i transfer USD349 to him for buying 1 unit Apple IPhone from him. Later he say can not ship out if only purchase 1 unit phone. He ask me to buy 5 unit of phones and I only need to pay 50% advance payment of the remain 4 phones. The second and following payment was told to pay to a friends of this seller which is at Nigeria. After I make the 50% payment, he ask me to make full payment. Without any suspect on him, I make full payment. Then, he ask for usd750 payment for tax and other fee. At that time, he did show me a fedex slip. Hence, i make the payment. After that, he ask another usd300 payment. This time, i try to refer to his boss, Benajmin Afful(musicalstore@live.com) and make the usd300 payment to Benajmin Afful. Unfortunately, his boss is BIGGER CHEATER. Now, they only asking another usd185 payment and do not show me any picture or shipment slip of the phones.
