I can't wait for it to come out, I am sold on it. At last, some true 24p (no pulldown removal headaches like in the Canon consumer series), a good lens and a 2/3s sensor that should create a pretty good background blur. The lens is fixed and not removeable.  Its a constant T2.8 lens with a decent focal length range.  The Scarlet will shoot to CF cards that are inexpensive.  The whole point of this camera is to have these features at a relatively low cost.<br><br>gamedude420, you really need to look outside the professional cinema/video industry.  Quality lenses don't cost $3000 to make. I see one person saying that realistically with everything it will cost $30-40k which is... undoable beyond belief. I'm not sure when the 16GB ones will be out.  But if these aren't fast enough, then we're going to be waiting for the SanDisk "5" or "6" series to actually work with this thing...<br><br>However, a standard CF card may be able to handle normal data rates without variable frame rates - not sure though.<br><br>Also need to consider audio - I know there was mention of support last time...<br><br>I remember this camera being able to take 2 cards at one time with the ability to hot swap them, but look at the HVX200 and similar cameras... the amount of memory in this is much more reasonable, but for the "average Joe" this is going to be a really expensive camera to get a few shots of the family and kids playing baseball<br><br>]]></description><dc:creator><![CDATA[bsbeamer]]></dc:creator><pubDate>Jul 11th 2008 7:55AM</pubDate></item></channel></rss>
