2) removable battery (so we have power even on long trips)
3) removable storage (so we can decide what and how much we wanna carry or quickly swap)

...would be more welcome.

Of course this might raise the price $5 but would be something more unique and useful compared to pumping out the same product in different shell every year, IMO.

Not all of use use portables purely on the street with tinny earbuds. Some use them at home with big 'phones. I don't see why FLAC support couldn't be added, provided the unit itself sounds half-decent. Not all of us want to carry our whole collections with us, so these devices are a nice small compromise but they have the potential to be more if a manufacturer decides to put a little more thought into things.]]>Jul 11th 2008 6:16AM
