Should be at least 1 more round of price drops in SSD by then.<br><br>If not then I may go with VelociRaptor for my desktop machine. Furthermore, hdds using magnetic disks have lots of moving parts...SSDs not so much. Hence the SS aspect of the SSD - "solid-state". They are just LESS FRAGILE. That matters for laptops, not so for desktops.<br>All the other failure points are there, and a few extra ones.
