Retail cost is expected to be more like $250.00. <br><br>I think $10.00 is a little out there, assuming that's a retail price. Though, you might be able to get something kind of like a laptop for $10 in parts, maybe. It's just what you choose to pay! Do you know that all the clothes sold in Banana Republic or say at Gap are from India (and its neighbours). Which if bought directly from the source costs not more than Rs.100 ($2.5) or 200 ($5). And, this would still leave the seller a good margin! It's upto us on what we choose. $50 at Gap or $2 at source!<br><br>ASUS had promised a $200 laptop when the lowest price of the laptops were around $600-700. Now, subtract the brandness, subtract profits, add a bit of subsidy, add some advertisements, add linux, add cost-effective technology, add cheap & quality labour, add innovation.
