Chinavasion's wireless dental camera enables at-home grill examinations

Oddly enough, we've seen mouth-mounted cameras before, but those have typically been used more for sport and less for serious matters. Chinavasion, of all companies, has just introduced its very own wireless dental camera, which puts a 1.3-megapixel camera on the end of a toothbrush-like apparatus in order to snap shots and transmit them wirelessly to a nearby display. Trying to find a respectable way to talk your kid out of dental school? $103.13 should provide all the necessary grossness to sway their decision.

This might come useful for a lot of things - the last one is checking your mouth.

But the use of technology for more useful things about your health is increasing by the hour. As it's mentioned here: http://www.internetevolution.com/author.asp?section_id=526&doc_id=147482&f_src=flffour it's being used to check blood pressure, temperature, etc and transmit it back to a receiver and sometimes directly to a doctor.

if you have been to the dentist lately...you might know that they use these and it makes it a hell-of a lot easier to, for example, see some tooth decay on your upper right molar. You can see exactly what they are talking about when they say you have a cavity or anything else that you did not know about. Let me see you hold a light in your mouth and check out one of your upper molars or the back sides of some teeth...


As far as seeing around/under doors, it might be useful, but you would have to make sure that this thing will focus farther then a few inches because that is what it is designed to do. I am not sure if it would or not. Nice to see this for around a Benjamin!
