The N95 has an accelerometer and vibration function. In addition to the huge catalogue of games, including the NES, Gameboy, etc it also has all the original games available through N-gage and the other independent application sites. Most of these can be directly installed to the phone. I don't think there is a PSX emulator yet but there are ones for WinMo phones.

In addition they have one thing your iPhone is lacking - a tactile keypad so you don't skite all over your screen in a futile attempt to make your character move forward whilst under fire, thus avoiding any number of gratuitous and untimely deaths.

In other words, we have loads of games, available from different sources which don't require you to fuck up your warranty to install. In the meantime you have whatever uncle Steve allows you to download from the app store (provided he doesn't remove it for no apparent reason later) or you have the option of invalidating your phone by jaqilbreaking it.

You act as if the touch screen is hard to use, and if you happen to have a handicap that affects your coordination, I see your point. Otherwise, I personally don't see how a person without a disability could have so much trouble playing on the iPhone's screen and would feel the need for buttons. (I beat the original Spyro PS game on that screen!)

Sure it ruins your warranty to jailbreak. On the other hand, who's going to find out? Just back up your jailbroken iPhone and click restore in iTunes before bringing/sending it into the shop! As long as you aren't stupid, you'll be fine!

So just recap, in case you didn't 'pay attention':

1. The iPhone beats the N95 and WinMo phones individually.

2. Buttons are for retards.

Who decides which features 'should have been there' and which ones can be left out? I think we can all appreciate the varied features in the smartphone market, as that is the reason people buy different phones, differing capabilities. I bought an iPhone primarily because of the browser and the UI, which are unparalleled IMO. But if you think it "doesn't work as well" then I'll wait for you to identify a better option. I spent a couple of years dealing with the daily crashes of Windows Mobile (and the horrid UI) and then a year or so with a Blackberry which couldn't load a real web page or render HTML emails. I also wonder what's keeping them from getting the firmware from a country where Apple is required to sell unlocked phones, and just distributing that. I'm sure that there are smarter people than me who know why that is not feasible, but it certainly seems like it would be.
