Why, why, WHY must we do this? Is it necessary to make snide and derogatory comments about women in technology? Do we have to talk about how they look, who they sleep with, whether they are ILFs? Must we REALLY do this?

The kind of comments that get made about women (especially gay women) are stomach-turning. If this sort of offensive dialogue were aimed at religious or racial differences, it'd be completely inappropriate -- so why is this tolerated?
