PS3 games do not have filer data. This isn't the PS2 or XBOX 360 with some oldass DVD drive. Blu-ray drives load data at the same speed regardless of where that data is on the disc. It's the 21st century now, and the PS3 doesn't need any filer data on its discs.

That said, yeah, MGS4 is the only game that would be huge. I sincerely doubt that this is legit, but if it is, I hope Sony sues these guys into oblivion like they did to those Lik-Sang assholes. Lots of game devs go out of business or don't have the profit margins to make the more novel game ideas... that is partly due to game pirates. Since I pay for my games, game pirates are damaging the awesomeness and perhaps the cheapness of my game collection. They are the consumer's enemy.

Blu-ray discs are notoriously difficult to damage (check out youtube for that kid who uses steel wool on a disc that still worked). There's the speed advantage, which is probably considerable, but it's not worth letting jackass losers pirate games. If you want cheap games, get a gameboy or a PS2. Why bother buying a PS3 and a nice TV if you're unable to afford your games?

And don't be surprised if Sony releases a firmware that only tracks this behavior, and then another firmware a few months later that bricks offender consoles. Read your terms and conditions. The PS3 has been installing games in it's harddrive since launch, so I don't know where in the 3rhell did you think that the 360 has started the HDD Install.
