( Reduced LCD Size + Increased Bezel Size = Lower Power Requirements ) + Additional Battery Cell(s) = More Battery Life.

So, the next netbook can run Even Longer! if they just:
1) Increased Bezel Size! (marketspeak for: Reduced LCD Size!)
2) Additional Battery Cells! (marketspeak for: Bigger, Heavier Battery!)

The bottom line is that additional cell(s) don't noticeably increase/decrease the efficiency of the unit.
