Canon bodies that have the EF-S mount can ALSO mount EF lenses, like the 300/350/400/450D and 20/30/40D. So they actually have a larger lens selection than EF only cameras.

If you meant it would still have a crop sensor, it doesn't make sense for the 40D successor to be full frame. Asides from these comments, the 50D has rumored ISO12800. Look at the SPECS people. The camera might look the same but this is a completely different beast.
