With Canon's buying power they could actually include a good quality usable capacity SD card. You stated yourself that you can get one cheaply, so do so :)<br><br>But let's discuss that:<br>OK, say they make 500,000 of these cameras...<br>...and say including the 1GB card costs them $2 to include in your package as opposed to 40 cents (for arguments sake). Now see what they stand to lose in profit if giving you 1GB.<br><br>No film camera comes with film and SD is everywhere, so it's just a starter to get people shooting. Consider it a bonus. Plus, you know camera retailers love those margins on accessories. They will not promote a camera that includes the kitchen sink. Canon wants to keep the retailers happy and have their stuff promoted adequately, too.<br><br>From a business perspective, everything makes perfect sense and I can't say I blame them one bit.
