The other parts being all the toxic chemicals/compounds/processes that are used to make the computer (and IN the computer), as well as what happens to the computer after it's obsolete (how much is actually recyclable?).  If you're truly concerned about the environment, then you buy used. Cost effective, not so much.  Hell for the hardware specs and the price it makes a 20" iMac look like a bargain.  Even if the iMac uses 4x the power, how much does a kilowatt cost?
