Why on Earth would someone want one of these things for watching HD movies? Or even SD movies for that matter? All I'd really expect out of my NETbook is to be able to competently browse the NET, which I think includes instant messaging, e-mail and youtube via wifi and 3G(perhaps on higher end models). Beyond that it might as well be a regular notebook, and at that point you're paying for power in a small space. Basically I guess you could say I expect netbooks to be like the Foleo(io?), but not have to be tethered to a phone.

smib

Comments on Fujitsu announces M1010 netbook for Q4 launch

actually i cant understand why they are following faulty design ..
clicks on sides and such a ugly screen just makes device worse..

msi wind is best in field but quite expensive ..
i would be using acer one if it had abit bigger screen .. it would be superb .

bidur

Comments on Fujitsu announces M1010 netbook for Q4 launch

Wait, so this is a light version of a notebook that's less than 10"? Our company made a huge investment in two different large fleets of Fujitsu Tablet PCs. Fujitsu's Tablet PC offerings are cheaply built, poorly engineered, and prone to widespread failure. They don't offer on-site notebook service, and their repair depot takes 2-4 weeks to repair a laptop, and occasionally loses one for months at a time. We moved on to Lenovo after it became clear that Fujitsu doesn't have a leg to stand on when it comes to customer service. Never again.

Christian
