LCD's are only just beginning to get to 120/240hz,and that is only useful if you hook it up to a computer as the film industry and television still only work @ a measly 24fps.

you can have a tv with any refresh you want, if the input source is 24fps then that's all you get, this is why tv makers try to "interpolate" the frames because the have the tech to display more and are waiting for the contentcreation industry to catch up and increase the video capture fps.

Oh yeah, any word on whose panels will be in these? They almost certainly won't be Samsung's own panels. Mre like AU Optronics or CMO. My Samsung 2232BW+ with an AU Optronics panel looks great if you don't care about washed out colors, horrible backlight bleed and motion blur that actually gets worse when you turn on the Samsung RTA overdrive feature that's suppose to make the screen respond faster. Color banding too. It's great...

Until Samsung can prove to me it's using it's own panels I'm done with them. However, back to the panel type. The model number is CM22WS. Could CM mean Chimei? On that subject, the model numbers of others are CX, BR, GH, etc. So it could just be a naming convention.

Regardless of what panel type it is, it is extremely bright and vivid and extremely good value for money.
