We looked at all the alternatives and this one wins hands down for price/spec. Set it up with the Royal Noir theme and it's very perty. I'd say they got the size just right, any samller and the keyboard would be too squeezed. I think not.  I just purchased the Acer Aspire One with 120GB HD + Windows XP.  I am a Mac guy with an Air, Macbook, and Macbook Pro.  I am currently on a trip, and guess what...the Macbook Air stayed home this time.  If this little gem would have been when I was looking for a smaller solution for travel, the Air would have never been purchased.  1800 vs 349.....umm, real hard decision. If it's the same case size you may as well take the larger screen. I know the resolution is the same, but as eye strain relief if for no other reason its got to be worth the extra 30-40 bucks.<br><br>Still what do I know. Is it just me, or do most netbooks qualify as near-vaporware?  The original MSI Wind drifts in and out of stock at the few places that carry it, and it's almost impossible to find it with the 6-cell if you're not willing to pay a premium over the sticker price.  Last time I checked it was tough to find anyone who's stocking the Acer Aspire One (at least the Windows XP model).  If and when somebody is able to stock these things in decent numbers at reasonably low prices they will fly out the doors.
