Cool I guess. Should I have experienced any of those problems I'd be happy. I'd also be even more happy if it fixed the problem I actually experience:

When shooting RAW+L, it records two Large JPEGs and no RAW image. Shooting just RAW yields RAW images and shooting just Large JPEG gives me Large JPEGs. It's not essential to the camera's functionality, but it kind of sucks. Their software doesn't work properly on my computer, so I can't view my RAWs without opening them (more than likely my own problem based around .NET 2.0 issues I'm having), and it would be nice to be able to browse the JPEGs and to find the RAW I want to edit.

Anyone else experiencing this problem?

Eric

Comments on Canon posts up 1.0.9 firmware update for EOS Rebel XSi

Hmm, I have not seen those issues. Not what so ever.

Try maybe Picasa 3.0? It now reads Canon's CR2 raw format. I just bought my Canon rebel xs two weeks ago and just figured out that I have the same issues as you. The RAW + L also gives me two Jpegs only and as with you I do get RAW when shooting RAW only. It also won't display thumbnails for RAW images (Which it may not be supposed to do but I don't know?) and I also have to open the files in CS3 to view them which is a pain. I agree the function is not necessary but I paid for that option and will not rest until it is fixed, replaced, or upgraded. I will be speaking to the retailer shortly to see what my options are.

Grant

Comments on Canon posts up 1.0.9 firmware update for EOS Rebel XSi

crap, I'm staying off of xbox live till they prove this doesn't ban playing backups!

neofolklore

Comments on Canon posts up 1.0.9 firmware update for EOS Rebel XSi

Hmm.. never had any of the problems listing. I would LOVE to see 7 exposures, but I could easily live with 5. I have to tweak with my camera more, with just 3 exposures. :-( I would also think this could be done in a firmware update.

More exposures mean I can make better HDR photos:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/ryfter/2811931759/
http://www.flickr.com/photos/ryfter/2691161627/
http://www.flickr.com/photos/ryfter/2823014439/

Rifter
