At least it is only the first version of the software, unlike Apple's second attempt with the 2.0.2 firmware on my iPod touch, which crashes the wretched thing every other hour.

These new tablets to integrate their hearts superscalar processor ARM ® Cortex announced as providing performance better than 4X embedded processors to its previous PMP (see the technical details provided by TI). Archos seems to have, according to its ads, a 6-month exclusivity on these processors from Texas Instruments. Texas Instrument benefiting from the experience of developers Archos debugger for their processor.
The bet was not won in advance, Archos forward to terra incognita. One must admit that when we received our copy test (and while the first score had already delivered), a small word of responsible product Archos indicated to us that the firmware of the player was provided betas and that some features were not yet present. Not really what we reassure them, but what on the other hand we reinforce the idea that the launch was somewhat hasty.

The Archos 5 is the flagship of the mark, on which a large part of the company's future. If these new tablets are a flop, finances manufacturer risk becoming even more critical and could furnish the very survival of the company in question and, hence, the output of hypothetical new Walkmans.
The conclusion of this test is a certain size.

We will support our expertise at the option of comparing lines, before devoting an entire chapter, the Archos 5 to his eldest the 605 WiFi.
