I'd imagine more people would prefer a more straight connection to a screen they are likely to use all the time, than a connection to a TV which wouldn't be done too often.<br><br>DVI to HDMI is more than compatible, Im pretty sure the only difference with HDMI and DVI is HDMI can have sound carried, and the different connector.<br><br>I connect my Macbook with a DVI to HDMI cord I got for 5 bux off... I think it was Monoprice. No expensive converters needed.
