I think the Aspire's keyboard is more solid, but still uses pata instead of sata (which the Asus 1000H uses). Why does this thing weigh 3.2 pounds when a 6-cell MSI Wind weighs 2.6 pounds? (the Lenovo S10 would also weigh ~2.6 pounds if it had a 6-cell)

How noticeable is the HDD noise and vibration?

How smoothly does it handle full screen video? Surprisingly enough, the AA1 is fine for h.264 via VLC, but it sometimes drops frames playing flash. youtube videos are smooth, but The Daily Show full episodes get a little chunky:
