I'm not ungrateful for these new options...light, cheap laptops are truly a godsend...but I'm holding out for a 10" netbook with a 64GB SSD for $299 before I jump in.  Why?  I want the thing to be as durable and run as quietly and coolly as possible, and that means no HDD.  But I also want enough space for XP and some media content, too. (the Lenovo S10 would also weigh ~2.6 pounds if it had a 6-cell)<br><br>How noticeable is the HDD noise and vibration?<br><br>How smoothly does it handle full screen video? I'm just gonna say, by the time I buy a new computer, if it's a netbook, I predict it will have insane technology that I haven't even thought of and linux will be incredibly advanced but I hope it has a touchscreen, GPS, high capacity, low powered, high speed SSD, insane battery life, a high res webcam, bluetooth, wifi, tons of RAM, and an incredibly fast, low powered, low cost processor.  And I will probably buy my next computer in about three years. The dell e4200, thinkpad x200, and hp elitebook 2530p all have it.
