Do you keep your mouse centered with regards to the QWERTY keys? I'm gonna go out on a limb and say no. Having the track pad on the left is asinine. Typing and then moving your hand to the GUI control interface is perfectly acceptable. The reason for the offset trackpad is that standard typing position is not centred on most laptop keyboards.
Standard typing position is index fingers on 'F' and 'J'.
Look at the trackpad in relation to these keys. Position is fine. Well done.
