Minox, we knew you wouldn't let us down. We've seen a few
bland cameras released by you over the years, but it warms our hearts to see you haven't forgotten why we love you. This latest line of miniature cameras comes in three flavors: yuck, meh, and totally badass. The DC 1033 looks like every other camera known to man, with the slight improvement of being a mere 94 x 55 x 24mm with 10-megapixels of firepower. The
DCC Leica M3 Gold Edition is nothing more than a rerelease of the silvery edition - tiny, cute, but no match for the classic 30s style DSC (Digital Spy Camera) -- 86 x 29 x 20mm, 5-megapixels -- to be showcased next week at Photokina in Germany.

Take this, Bond. Oh, and James, don't wreck it this time, please...
Well it is a good thing that the cell phone companies don't keep record of transferred data......
..
...
Oh wait...
I think a real spy would wanna carry something that took photos and didn't actually look like an obvious camera.
I get plenty of spy shots on my cellular phone which I upload immediately to a secret Hotmail account so I can delete the pics off the phone immediately. If the cops catch you for a crime they do check your cellphone and its contents. A secretive email account buys you plausible deniability.
"what's the password"?
"I have no idea officer...I don't use hotmail"
Thats kinda creepy...
i have a camera that looks like a soda can. but it uses film not digital.
Not all that secret anymore pal.
Oh, so you're the one that took the shot of John Hodgman and his kid the other day.. You dirty bird.
Btw, why did Engadget delete that post?
Is it me, or does that pic Scream 1985 technology.
It looks like you have to wind it after each shot.
I think its the leather glove that does it for me.
1930's technology you mean. re:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minox and the article.
However, what the point in making a digital camera that has a design that was dictated by the film technology it used to use.
The answer of course is: hipsters.
I've heard these Minox really chew up the batteries.
lol at the Star Wars reference!
I want!
hmmm... kinky leather glove...
Bond, take this, and this time, please don't shake it while you take pics like you do with martini, we can't afford any more slip-ups.
The "bland cameras" link doesnt work :-P.
Holy Guacamole! The Glove fits! Have an warrant out for the arrest that hand model right now!
It's about freakin' time! Minox should have been in this market years ago. It's just too bad they waited this long. They could have made a killing before the cameraphone.
It's an amazing little piece of equipment. But you have to wonder whether the tech support will be any good; remember a smaller, more highly functional device is more likely to break or fall out of alignment when dropped. And if you've ever seen the kind of warranty repairs people get ( http://www.fruzzetti.org/toshiba as an example of a laptop that went to the shop for a new mobo and came back minus personal data and plus lots of virii ), think about whether you're going to be happy just replacing a device that breaks easily...
Why does OJ have a Minox camera in his hands?
An OJ Simpson joke? You're a little behind the comedic times, son.
Yes, because we all know how often you see black leather gloves holding something here on Engadget.
Your sense of humor is a little behind the comedic times. Explain my highly ranked.
I'm not sure what's more hilarious - the fact that you think a 'Highly Ranked' status (which is easily achievable by clickin' a button, by the by) lends credence to your crappy joke, or the the fact that you stand behind it so proudly.
When did I say I was proud of it? I just don't like d bags.
