WowWee's patrolling Rovio gets unboxed
WowWee's Rovio isn't due to start shipping to the general populace for a few days still, but the mighty important folks over at RobotsRule were somehow able to procure one a hair early. Thankfully for us, it took the time to neatly unbox this home sentry and give us an up-close look at what it's made of. A full-fledged review is promised within the next few days, but for now, just hit the read link and enjoy the shots.

Corporate espionage and detectives' work for uncertain spouses just got a LOT easier.
Love my iRobot....maybe one that washes dishes......
Hope it has a better vacuum on it than the roomba...
and it begins...

Are we all Doomed?
11. Can it tell me when Barack Obama is lying to serve his own agenda of power at any cost?
12. Can it warn me anytime Barack Obama decides to "negotiate" for the US (an act of treason according to the Logan Act), by asking Iraq to DELAY the withdrawal of troops until after the election has occurred?
Can we stop these unboxings unless you can include an actually demonstration or a review? I'm not that big of a styrofoam fan. It's frustrating to see a product finally get unwrapped, and then have the video end. I like good packaging as much as the next nerd, but it's not worth a post.
I have to agree here, how about unboxing a nice big chocolate cake in front of a bunch of kids, then send them away without a piece?
There were about 4 videos contained it the post from the product demo by Wow Wee, dig a little deeper in the read link site.

I'm waiting for the amphibious one, the RoviWade. That's my choice.
Ouch. :-) That was ill-conceived.
@frankXchange:
Pun intended or not with "ill-conceived"? Either way, it's made my morning :)
Intentional. I liked your 'delivery.'
Just thought I would let everyone know - I clicked the Rovio link at the top of this article, and got spyware from the page that opened.
Yaaay Windows!
Still waiting to find out if it's possible to control it from mobile IE, or Firefox, or Opera, anything from my phone would be cool.
Yay! kiwi drive.
I am the webmaster for that site and there is no spyware on that page. I see that you just joined Engadget as a user today and that this is your very first comment ever, but would you mind providing the name of the tool or test that you used to make that disturbing claim and a link to the vendor so I can investigate it and run the same test? Thanks.
From above it looks kind of like a robotic trilobite.
