Second time it was asked. Someone asked if a third party source figured out how to unlock the phone like the iphone will t-mobile let it be or relock their phones like apple? Now all four guys on stage had this pissed off look. I guess it is a dumb question to ask from their perspective. Well the answer was, "At the price of $179.00 and the fact it cost a lot more for t-mobile to purchase... and with all the features the G1 has...for t-mobile to ensure the best performance possible...it will be exclusively for the t-mobile network."

Seriously, asking t-mobile if they are going to make the G1 unlock for other carriers is really a stupid question. Of course not, it's their exclusive phone...kinda like the sidekick. Now, I can see once the G1 is out, HTC making a new model with the Android platform that will be unlock.
