There isn't any lag in the video when the guy flips over the phone. The iPhone takes at least a second to "realize" that it has been flipped on the side. (The new iPod nanos, however, act exactly like this phone- instant that is.)<br><br>For all the people who though that the interface on this phone was fugly, may I remind you how it looks to change from one home screen to another. Not only was it seamless, but the BACKGROUND changed (shifted perspective) as well. That is really classy.<br><br>Also, bluetooth stereo stack will be released, so stop complaining about that. The fact that it doesn't have a 3.5" headphone jack is HTC's fault, as the Mogul will attest.<br><br>I really just want to play around with one. These remarks are just from watching real use and promotional video.<br><br>P.S. G1 falls in hardware tremendously. Software? Give it a few months, but now, for a phone "geared for mobile internet", the browser is choppy, and scrolling/zooming is not nearly as smooth as the iPhone... (see side to side comparison)<br><br>As for the ridiculous "unlimited" Data plan (35 MB/day).... that's a whole other throwback.<br><br>So yeah, the iPhone can enjoy yet another victory. For better or for worse, when a new touchscreen phone comes out, it's probably a safe bet that more people are going to ask how it compares to the iPhone than, say, the Instinct or LG Dare or whatever.  Even for people who loathe the iPhone, they are probably interested in the comparison because they want to see what things it does that the iPhone doesn't.  Of course, it's completely up to the G1 how things pan out. Not as sexy as the S.E. X1, but that'll be twice as expensive.<br>Too bad the resolution is 480x320 though, I'd at least wanted a VGA screen (or preferably a WVGA). You've never use an iPhone to say that! Alright i might some typo with it sometimes but most of the time the dictionnary does the trick just fine! All I can say is i'm typing a lot faster with my iPhone than with the Blackberry I used to have and the WinMo I had before that!<br><br>The first week using the touchscreen keyboard on the iPhone was a pain in the ass I can give you that, but when you get used to it, it's a solid solution (when it's not lagging that for sure but since 2.1 came out i've had no keyboard lag).<br><br>As for the Android, I kind of like what i've seen so far... Although the UI looks like crap, it seems to be working great and thats what it needs more than being pretty so thats great! It kinda suck though if you can only used gmail... I'm a fan of gmail but still I find it odd that the only syncing option is with gmail!!! I guess their logging system wouldnt count me either, but then again i usually just use the RSS feed program to view the stories instead of browsing to their page. I have always had smart phones with web browsers, and I have never used them to surf the web until the iPhone came along. Now I still mostly use my computer but I also use the iPhone occasionally. It just works well.
