Brando charms with Super Tiny Keyboard
Oh Brando, what will you think of next? On second thought, we're just going to do our best to soak up the awesomeness that's beaming from your latest concoction, the Super Tiny Keyboard. This palm-sized (or so they say) input peripheral measures in at just 6.7- x 2.8- x 0.6-inches and features a mini-USB port and a retractable cable. We'd expect this would only be good for typing emergencies, but for $25, it might not be a bad backup to have around.

So small....
But can it run Crysis?
J
xcrunk @ Sep 24th 2008 12:35PM
Don't remind me...
Running CW on my PC was a stuttering nightmare. My 9600GT was crying after attempting to run it.
Guess it's time to build that CrossFire Dual 4870 gaming rig now.
Ryan B @ Sep 24th 2008 12:33PM
That guy has the longest fingers I've ever seen.

LOL
Micanos @ Sep 24th 2008 12:47PM
Yao Ming's left hand....that is....
PJ @ Sep 24th 2008 1:22PM
So maybe it's just a normal sized keyboard then.
Michael @ Sep 24th 2008 2:02PM
Yeeeahhh.. I'm calling the shengies on this one. Maybe the keyboard exists, but super tiny? Maybe to Larry Bird or Conan O'Brien. Or ET.
xcrunk @ Sep 24th 2008 12:33PM
Don't kid yourself, that guys hand is huge.
Podaman @ Sep 24th 2008 12:37PM
That hand belongs in an apple patent application.
Dahk @ Sep 24th 2008 12:39PM
Or Nokia, actually. Except rather than a handshake, the hand loves gadgets more.
Stiv @ Sep 24th 2008 2:23PM
Win! +1

no wireless no buy
steve @ Sep 24th 2008 12:44PM
Would have ben great with Bluetooth version.
SHoe @ Sep 24th 2008 1:09PM
My thoughts exactly.
I'd love to have this as my PS3 keyboard. If it this had BT then it would be better than Sony's new offering - I just can't get into that weird keyboard that clamps onto the top of the controller thing that Sony is doing. 95% of my console typing needs do not involve simultaneous use of the thumb-sticks and typing, so this is way better.
Hope a BT version comes soon.
Dahk @ Sep 24th 2008 12:40PM
SWEET. I can become Johnny from MGS4.
Robobagins @ Sep 24th 2008 12:59PM
Exactly.
crow610 @ Sep 24th 2008 12:40PM
I wonder if this keyboard is as uncomfortable as the Palm butterfly keyboard.
weg @ Sep 24th 2008 7:37PM
I loved my Palm butterfly keyboard.
matt @ Sep 24th 2008 12:41PM
i don't understand a situation where this would be needed?
xojins @ Sep 24th 2008 12:48PM
Kitchen PC, MAME PC, car pc, ... any number of specialized appliance PCs
Charlie @ Sep 24th 2008 12:56PM
CarPC FTW. At that size, it could slide easily into a lot of center consoles.
BigD145 @ Sep 24th 2008 2:18PM
It wouldn't take much to strap it to your wrist for a wearable computer.
Al @ Sep 24th 2008 12:45PM
They should make a bluetooth version
ben_r_ @ Sep 24th 2008 12:48PM
Okay.... So where can I get one?
sinjinn @ Sep 24th 2008 3:26PM

MMalecky @ Sep 25th 2008 1:41AM

Typing crisis?
Frankie @ Sep 24th 2008 12:53PM
Good thing my phone runs Windows Mobile Professional, there is no doubt in my mind that this will be compatible with it.
Taylor @ Sep 24th 2008 1:06PM
Your mind fails. It's a USB keyboard, and your device most likely does not have USB hosting. If it were bluetooth it would work, but it's not, so, Fail.

ac @ Sep 24th 2008 12:55PM
Can you get a wrist strap for it?
Echo1 @ Sep 24th 2008 4:05PM
Wii you like to type?
meist3r @ Sep 24th 2008 12:59PM
If they make that one foldable so I can break in in half then I still wouldn't know what to run with such a keyboard. Maybe when all the open phones come out some people might need more comfortable ssh input devices.
bennybanjo @ Sep 24th 2008 1:03PM
That looks awful like an eeepc Keyboard.
FRZ @ Sep 24th 2008 1:11PM
Would it work with my palm tx?
webon @ Sep 24th 2008 1:44PM
only if your TX comes with USB adapter, mine didn't
deyanimay @ Sep 24th 2008 3:11PM
TI-89 titanium ftw
neodorian @ Sep 24th 2008 1:13PM
But does it have what plants crave?
JP @ Sep 24th 2008 4:16PM
Woot, I'm not the only one that read it as "brawndo" the first time around!
I need to watch that movie again soon...
M @ Oct 1st 2008 12:44AM
I visited the brawndo website, and the youtube video parody is funny, but what Fox movie is it from?
HektikLyfe @ Sep 24th 2008 1:21PM
Is that keyboard made by Alienware, cuz the had sure is!
SimbaDogg @ Sep 24th 2008 1:31PM
looks like a good keyboard, and i like the layout. would be a nice option to contend w/ bluetooth keyboards like my iGo stowaway...big downer is, it doesn't fold. The iGo is about that same size when not folded, but thankfully closes to have that which you can then slip in its carrying pouch. deal breaker for me
sinjinn @ Sep 24th 2008 3:14PM
this half the size of the stowaway.
SimbaDogg @ Sep 24th 2008 4:55PM
umm...i have this for the stowaway 5.5 x 3.9 x 0.5 inches
they have this 6.7- x 2.8- x 0.6-inches
half the size...unless my figures are wrong, i think not.
sinjinn @ Sep 25th 2008 12:36AM
"The iGo is about that same size when not folded"
the igo is about 11 inches when not folded , this is 6.7 inches. i think 5.5 and 6.7 are in the same ball park .. but 11 and 6.7 are totally different .
Bayard @ Sep 24th 2008 1:35PM
There are many on this site and others who will not buy a phone like the Touch HD, which is just the most bad ass'd phone yet, because of no keyboard.
So, maybe someone wants to make a blue-tooth keyboard that is super tiny like the size of the one on a tilt or G1... then you could have a trim and svelte phone and still have a keyboard for 'those times'.
But, I have to say, I just installed a 3rd party tough screen keyboard that works great on my tilt, and after some tweaking of the settings I now doubt I will be using the hardware keyboard that much.
I would love to have the Touch HD with a blue-tooth keyboard, the only thing that could be improved upon with that would be pressure sensitive pen mode for drawing/painting.
It would even make using Blender workable!
Distahs @ Sep 24th 2008 2:19PM
(not intended as an advertisment)
just an option,
If your looking for a bluetooth version I found a review on one just as small...

that keyboard is rubbish. it doesnt have proper keys.
Don Corleone @ Sep 24th 2008 2:06PM
I'm glad it has "Silent switch feeling, feel comfortable".
bob sakamano @ Sep 24th 2008 2:12PM
if only someone could put a hinge on this and weld it to the iphone
