So there's this place called Japan where they have all sorts of electronics, gadgets, televisions, arcades, izakayas, and a mega conference called CEATEC 2008. We're here, on the other side of the date line, inhaling coffee, and you had best stay tuned for the latest from the land of the rising sun.

uhm, that's KONNICHIWA or こんばんは if you please. (;
Craig @ Sep 29th 2008 10:55PM
Well since they posted this their time here in Japan it is currently now morning, so actually "おはようございます" is really correct.
josh @ Sep 30th 2008 6:45AM
Ohayo, konichiwa, etc. Depends on where you are on how you transliterate. Either way, we're here!
kento @ Sep 29th 2008 11:06PM
Yes, but こんばんはis "konbanwa." I believe you were looking for こんにちはinstead.
If you're going to correct someone on their spelling... you all know how the rest goes. Just trying to protect those trying to learn Japanese. :D

The only problem is that Japan is basically a technological black whole when it comes to consumer electronics. There isn't anything here that's better then the States and it's basically all way over priced. Especially laptops and MP3 players. The toilets and trains are nice, though.

Apparently Panasonic's 3D technology is amazing. Look forward to Engadgets comments on this.
