The screen itself is about 720P resolution, you couldn't view the full detail offered by the Blu-Ray movie, but it'd still be better quality than of a DVD movie.

I also think the drive can burn the discs so a great way to back-up lots of data on a disc. I own the TZ series but if I were to buy a Vaio again, I'd get the Z instead of the TZ's replacement the TT. The thing is just pure beauty and does exactly what I want, a very ultra portable laptop. They didn't leave "something" out they left out a lot. Like I said, I don't even recall ever needing my optical drive when using my notebook outside my home but I often use more than 1 USB port at a time as well as the Ethernet port. I have also gone through 2 batteries (old age) and typically drain a single battery during long flights. These are not things I'm willing to give up and would prefer if it all fit in the device as opposed external accessories. Since I (and others that I know) rarely use optical, we don't care if that's external

linuxamp

Comments on Sony's Vaio TT gets dissected, found to contain small components

Sony will usually have multiple configurations ready. The TZ was configurable with a 250gb 2.5" HDD or a DVD drive. Further more you could buy parts for extra usb ports instead if you think the 2nd HDD or DVD drive isn't your thing. I highly doubt Sony will only sell one configuration of the TT serie. So the complaining can now stop.

wilcoholic

Comments on Sony's Vaio TT gets dissected, found to contain small components

If Sony was to make something like the MacBook Air...
