I'm also a journalist in Brazil, and i saw it today too (a few minutes after the guys from Zumo). Before reporting, please be aware of the currency exchange rate. R$ 899 is about US$ 420 according to Google. Keep in mind that we have high taxes on about everything here in Brazil, so the U.S. Price will likely be lower. Not one, but three. All the major carriers (Claro, Vivo, Tim) have 3G Networks in place, with Claro being the biggest one. You are correct. Converting the actuall price isn't easy because of the taxes.

About Brazil's 3G networks, I wouldn't say they're way ahead of AT&T in the US. Consider the physical span of the AT&T network. Rephrased in stereotypical American rhetoric: "Our country is much bigger than yours!".

I do think this Q11 looks funny with the screen not centered.
