Srsly, i want this - flippy screen and keyboard for term papers and pen input for class notes, this is a mac loving student's dream computer. 1)A 6cell battery (only has a 4 right now-seriously "we don't have a measly 3? we have a 4cell??")
2)I don't NEED a 10" but I truly wish they would have that option as well as the 8.9"
3)It could probably be done as a DIY but there needs to be SOMETHING done about the heat output under the key ESPECIALLY
when it is placed in tablet mode (100F I think was what I read in a couple of reviews) maybe some heat resistant fabric under the
keyboard?

If they did that and to cut costs decided to slice the HDD in half and still go with the price I would pick it up in a heart beat

It would need a SDHD so it could read the 8G card I have

The real question at this point is whether or not handwriting is still important. Is it still taught in schools more that a few minutes a day? Can you had in handwritten projects?

Perhaps multi-touch inputting will change things but that is still very limited. Interesting though. Would Apple even include a stylus option?

Typing is not appealing for some, but I suspect it's a very small minority.

The Gigabyte product is not available in North America, which is odd and interesting. Seems neat though.

Or maybe if Modbook were to license Apple hardware for those purposes (I bet the macbook air could be made to fit into a Q1 Ultra's shell, and still have lots of room to spare).

standard notebook
convertible tablet
slate (no keyboard)
q1ultra

The convertible tablet is by far the best compromise for general purpose computer use, until we find something to replace keyboards.

Wishlist for the M913;

bundled tablet software ... at least an onscreen keyboard.
extend the screen to the edges of the hardware, 10" should be possible in the existing case
dump the touchpad and put in an IBM style stick and bigger keys. I don't have fat fingers and I struggle with the keys. I know I may be in a minority of one there, but there you go.
