If there's enough gap in the spectrum to be used, it damn well ought to be used to deliver BETTER QUALITY. Those gaps should be filled with more image data for HD broadcasts.

If Google's so keen on more spectrum, it should've bought some in the recent auction.

But really, what's the point anymore, after the ATSC allowed INTERLACED video in our "new" digital-TV standard.
