Everything just worked, and unlike palms from the past, the Centro didn't lock up on me. It comes bundled with a nice video player, supports mp3s, etc. I don't really see what there is to hate about this. I switched to the iPhone because I'm a sucker for eye-candy, and respected a phone that let me sync outside of Palm Desktop, without booting Windows to sync.

I'd also like to point out that the keys on the Centro are raised. I have HUEG Negroid hands (yes, I'm a Big Angry Black Guy) and had no problems whatsoever typing on the keyboard. It's really not as difficult as it looks.

Matt

Comments on Sprint unwraps Olive Green and Vibrant Rose Palm Centros

I like it; I just picked up a black centro on ebay for 99 bucks. gonna give it a try to replace my horrible samsung instinct. if i like it, ill probably end up getting the green one on ebay (due to the extra RAM).

i was quoted 260 bucks for my instinct from one of those cell phone buying sites. so hypothetically, i can get almost 3 centros for the price one instinct. who needs phone insurance when a replacement is so cheap?

Serge

Comments on Sprint unwraps Olive Green and Vibrant Rose Palm Centros

I have looked and looked at iPhones and all the new phones and none - NONE will do everything that my black GSM Centro will do. I really think all those people who rag on the Palm OS have not used it. I have been using it since 2000 and I mean REALLY using it every single day for all these years. When another OS does all that my Centro does, I will consider it. Small keys, yes, but even with my fat thumbs and a little practice it works well.

G. I compared my Curve to my brother's Centro, and on the surface, without getting into technical issues, the Centro seems like a more complete phone than the Curve- built in camera and video recording, ability to watch you tube and other live media content right on the phone, word, excel and powerpoint built-in, nice form and appearance. My Curve has none of that- it has a nicer screen and easier navigation b/c of the trackball, but otherwise it's kinda boring.

Also, I'm getting a little tired of all the secrecy, rumors, and misinformation concerning Blackberry products and their release dates. I was trying to wait for one of the newer models to come out but there is so much conflicting information out there as to when its supposed to be released in the US and its performance that I am getting a headache and about to be turned off forever from Blackberrys. If someone out there can convince me otherwise, please let me know.

MaryJane
