The PCH is awesome - the newest firmware is great, and no big flaws. I download 1080p blueray rips (MKV) files from newsgroups and play them without any hiccup.

Also, the newst firmware has the Transmission torrent client built int, and NZBGet support. From any pc , I can upload torrents for it to download, and upload a NZB file and the PCH will download, run a PAR check, then unrar it. I love this thing - I sent movies/HD tv rips to it while at work (upload the nzb file), then organize it via the built in ftp server. I go home, and I have all my movies and shows organized nicely.

The only downfall to the PCH is the music and photo support. Its complete shit - to put it nicely. Music is worthless on it. No cover art, horrible controls, horrible interface, etc.

If you want a cheap piece of hardware that will play 99.9% of every video format you throw at it, the PCH is your best bet.
