I've had it for about 5 months. It's very easy to get here in the states (I got mine from meritline.com). It will play back files of nearly any format and bitrate, including 1080p MKVs. It will also play back .m2ts. I have over 47 BluRay movies ripped inside. It has a quiet fan and a USB slave port in case you don't feel like networking with it. It eats the PCH for breakfast (oh, and it's less than $500 if you look hard enough).

ISO, IFO, VOB, AVI, WMV, MPG, MP4, TS, ASF, MOV

However, one of the previous people was correct -- it won't play ISOs of BluRays on the current firmware. It usually ships 1-2 weeks after you purchase it. You can check weekly shipping status on their forum - www.networkmediatank.com

The PCH is awesome - the newest firmware is great, and no big flaws. I download 1080p blueray rips (MKV) files from newsgroups and play them without any hiccup.

Also, the newst firmware has the Transmission torrent client built int, and NZBGet support. From any pc , I can upload torrents for it to download, and upload a NZB file and the PCH will download, run a PAR check, then unrar it. I love this thing - I sent movies/HD tv rips to it while at work (upload the nzb file), then organize it via the built in ftp server. I go home, and I have all my movies and shows organized nicely.

The only downfall to the PCH is the music and photo support. Its complete shit - to put it nicely. Music is worthless on it. No cover art, horrible controls, horrible interface, etc.

If you want a cheap piece of hardware that will play 99.9% of every video format you throw at it, the PCH is your best bet. The new A-110 is slightly more $$, but it gives you SATA support, and USB drive connectivity.

sean

Comments on DViCO's TViX-HD 6500 eats Blu-ray rips for breakfast, spits 'em out via HDMI

My PS3 can play the .m2ts files extracted from BluRay discs over the next work too.
