Nokia N79 gets unboxed on video

We've already seen Nokia's N79 up close and personal, but if you're just not ready to commit until you see exactly what your potential purchase will entail, you may want to hit up the Nseries Workshop blog, which has the requisite unboxing video of the device, on video and outdoors, no less. In case you missed it when it got official, the phone is a tri-band GSM number, and packs a generous 5-megapixel camera with a dual-LED flash, built-in WiFi, 4GB of microSD storage, swappable back covers (as seen above), and an unfortunately lackluster screen -- at least in our experience. Head on past the break for the complete unboxing.

Is it so hard for unbox-ers to find a friend to hold the damn camera for them or do they just not have friends?
pavlindrom @ Oct 17th 2008 4:37PM
If I had friends, I wouldn't record how I take a phone out of a box, would I?
James @ Oct 17th 2008 4:45PM
Thought he was going to chuck it in the water when he first took it out of the box.

why can't the guy just film this indoor??? it's like the last time when we got N85 unboxing on the rooftop of a building... i'd laugh if a boat comes around and the phone gets splashed as it's lying on the rocks...

Seriously, forget about the 'artistic' element in this case of the backdrop. Shaky as hell, I didn't have my earphones on, but I doubt the noise of the wind blowing will be very informative. Shaky camera work leads to an interesting concept being executed badly.
