Im thinking of it as in video game graphics, sure some of the games have nice light bloom and soft shadeing, but in reality its there to mask the low points of the pixels themselves.

Clearly one would need to see these two beasts side-by-side with identical Blu-ray players and cables to get an opinion of which one's the best. Too bad the pictures provided are so small and of such poor quality.

For $7k I'll pass when you can buy a very good 60" Samsung for $2200 right now. The picture may be good but is it $5k better?
