I've used the ENVY from Verizon which has tactile feedback and frankly, it wasn't as good as the iphone not because of the feedback, but because its scrolling and typing wasn't as "smooth" as iphone's.

The way I see it, You're comparing apples to oranges if you compare the iPhone to anything else but another touchscreen, minimal buttoned phone. The Storm is a fine comparison.

I usually sync my iphone through itunes to Yahoo mail so my contacts are perfectly organized with my regular web browser on my computer. The way I see it, Itunes should integrate an "outlook" like data organizer so you can import/export data to mail accounts with JUST ITUNES rather than that mobileme bullshit.
I use my iPhone for picture take and send; youtube (mxtube) and web browsing. I have mobilechat for AIM but that's all I needed it for so that's the phone I got. Rather than a Sidekick 3.

The Storm looks good and I might switch over if it can do the things I want it to do. I have a car with a 6-CD changer/MP3 player so music in the phone is unnescessary and I never use it for that...especially since it doesn't have A2DP.

Flashpoint

Comments on

@Flashpoint

"I've used the ENVY from Verizon which has tactile feedback and frankly, it wasn't as good as the iphone not because of the feedback, but because its scrolling and typing wasn't as "smooth" as iphone's."

Did you mean the LG Dare or LG Voyager? My friend had a Voyager for like 2 days before returning it. Using that touch screen felt like you were receiving dozens of texts or emails per minute. It was ridiculous. I don't know why, but the auditory clack of the iphone keyboard really helps me. I'm much more accurate and fast when I have sound on vs. sound off. The storm looks kinda pudgy and short when put next to the iPhone"

I would agree with you, but size and looks are one thing. Having a phone based around one handed use is another, giving you convenience and speed. That's just me though, I want products that are designed to make things simplistic and hell, takes less effort on my part. :D Laziness FTW!

Killer

Comments on

I am looking at getting a new phone with ATT and want to know if I should get the IPhone or wait for the Bold?

Balley88

Comments on

It all depends on what you want to do with it, if you just want to text, email, and websurf, I would go with the bold. IT DOESN'T HAVE A2DP. Music sucks when you're tethered to your device. BB's have a great music player and with the cheap price of microSD cards, unlimited storage. I wouldn't take an iphone if you paid me (ok I would, but I'd resell it) because I can't stand to have a cord hanging from my ears when listening to music. There's no replacement for a pair of Motorola S9 headphones and a real phone that is productive.

Jonyah

Comments on

Hmm.. A2DP. Hope Apple lets us have it soon as I've heard it's there somewhere. As for listening to music with the iPhone, it really is quite nice. When I want piece and quiet, I just whip out my headphones and chill. If I want to watch a movie, I don't always need the headphones, I just use the built-in speaker. But, yeah, it'd be nice to just go Bluetooth style on the iPhone, after all, it's supposed to be really powerful.

LiQuiD_FuSioN

Comments on

peace*. I used to have an audio player, and a pda phone that sucked balls at internet. I got tired of having pockets full of electronics so I got an Iphone. At the time it was the only phone that did music and videos well and came with storage. I don't want to have a pocket full of memory cards so i can "have unlimited storage" that's a lame excuse. Also at the time the largest memory card you could get for a phone was 8gb which does not equal 16gb. No comparison.

As for this new line of phones, I dislike blackberries as phones. I've been carrying one for work for the last 3 years and they've gotten better but they're still pretty terrible for web surfing, I don't bother with the music player, but they're great for email.
