imacs 8800 trumps the 9600 - , and both machines have 4GB of ram, at least in my case.
dell's is more a tv unit for the media center nonsense, Imac is an audio, graphic production machine - with the better OS - i like vista - but work on both - and apple is just more stable - and more for a productive workflow. that's outisde this thread though.
the new aluminum iMacs run Cool and supersilent- 24" screen is great and 3.06 GHZ with 6MB L2 Cache is faaast...faster than some quadcores. trust with the next upgrade (coz it has been out for a while), this dell will be left even further behind.
