Anything less is into the serious budget market and anything more is purely gamer territory. I ordered one from newegg as my first PCI-E from AGP a month ago when they announced all those price cuts. (Dell) - Intel®  CoreTM 2 Quad vs. (Apple) Intel Core 2 Duo. (Dell) 4GB RAM vs. (Apple) 2GB RAM. (Dell) 750 GB HD vs. (Apple) 500 GB HD. (Dell) 512MB NVIDIA® GeForce® 9600M GT vs. (Apple) NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GS with 512MB memory. The XPS also includes a really nice JBL speaker system + subwoofer, and integrated TV Tuner card. All that to boot for a starting price of 200 less (Dell) vs. (Apple).
