It's very nice. (Apart from the picture quality, I know other brands have them too, but the ambient light sensor is handy. And I like the way you can make it turn off the power light completely when it's on so there's nothing at all to distract around your image, only a black rectangle.) <br><br>And yes, it cost at least half as much again, and wasn't near the top of their range... I paid a premium then, but considering the longevity, it was money well spent.  I'm looking for a new monitor now, a larger complement to the 17" Eizo, and I'm seriously considering another Eizo. Speaking of brightness, the eizo is both brighter at brightest and darker at darkest than the dell monitor... Six months later Eizo ceased production of their CRT monitors. So I'm using the last ever made model of their CRT-line. I think CRTs were phased out couple years too soon :(<br><br>I use my computer primarily for gaming and I haven't gone with LCDs yet(if ever). They seem to have evolved primarily in their size and suffer more or less from the same problems than five years ago(contrast, response rate/input lag, fixed resolution and interpolation).<br><br>Picture quality is great, of course. Altough I must admit I have never seen Eizo LCD in action, shops seem to have only cheap panels on display and it's hard to judge their quality in brightly lit environment like that.<br><br>(AM)OLED panels would solve all the other problems except interpolation issues, but it seems they are still 3-5 years away(funny, they said the same thing back in 2003).]]></description><dc:creator><![CDATA[CRTguy]]></dc:creator><pubDate>Nov 11th 2008 5:33AM</pubDate></item></channel></rss>
