I have mine turned on for a few days and the system is still stable.
BTW, Samsung has been in the laptop market for a long time, but just not in US.

In Engadget, I think we consider the quality of the product base on itself but not who made it.

Certain ThinkPad lines have fallen in quality, but that does not make them all bad product. Pre-Lenovo ThinkPads has always been made in China anyway (didn't you know that?). Anybody who understands East Asian culture and history will tell you how they are drastically different from each other. Just because something happened in one location at one time doesn't mean it will repeat at another location at another time. 2. Chinese consumers themselves no longer consider Chinese brand vehicles when the intended price budget is more than $5,000. Accordingly, almost all Chinese brand vehicles are priced below $5,000. This heavy focus on low-price vehicles prohibit Chinese makers from higher priced and higher quality vehicles suitable for the US and EU markets

I also have a Lenovo X61, and that thing has awesome quality. I don't know about you, but saying all Chinese products are crap is just stereotypical.
